I had a great experience at Woo Lae Oak! I took a cousin there for his first KBBQ experience. It's a good place for someone to first have KBBQ, meaning it's not as overwhelming as some KBBQ experiences. (The whole process of KBBQ is part of the fun, of course.)

We got the vegetable scallion pancake for an appetizer (it was huge, which is great!), the four soju shot combination (the yogurt and lychee one were the best) and the BBQ combo and the kimchi jjigae.

The BBQ combo was a great portion for two adults. The kimchi was okay. The meat itself was delicious, and the banchan was all amazing.

I was a little nervous about how it was not AYCE but honestly, the meal was so filling with the meat and banchan, pancake and kimchi. It was sort of pricey, but I expect that for KBBQ and we both felt like we got our money's worth. Our waiter was really nice, though we did have to find her to get the check. The vibe of the place is interesting - sort of like a 70s supper club vibe but Korean. I was into it. The place is also an easy walk from the Greensboro metro station. Definitely recommend.

I am new to Korean cuisine, so I was not sure what to expect when coming here. My Korean coworker brought a group of us here for lunch to try authentic food.

When we arrived she spoke to the hostess and we were immediately seated. We decided to not do the full Korean BBQ experience since it was lunch time and we had to go back to work.

The food we ordered was just okay. I was not wowed by anything that anyone ordered. I got the seafood rice bowl. The textures from the seafood were not my favorite. Obviously this is more of a personal problem and not their fault. My palate was just not used to the flavors in the food. It is for that reason that I think I probably won't come back.

You need to come here with someone who knows about Korean food, and I obviously do not. The waitress we had spoke very little English so I could not ask her all the questions about the food that I wanted and my coworker suggested basically everything on the menu.

It was OK and I didn't even know that the former president went there.  I guess it was a hit or miss. I expected a lot of more view on this place.  However, I was a little hesitated for today visit.  We order the seafood pancake, and then the cold noodles.  I didn't feel anything unusual tasty or good. I was actually a little disappointed comparing other place that I went at Annadale.   The side disks was ok, not the bad.  I am was definitely disappointed and very surprised why the POTUS was there.  However, it was few years ago.  So, maybe things change.  Overall it is OK.

I had an extremely delicious lunch here.  I came with my boyfriend and his Korean family who are very loyal to this restaurant.  We got the galbi which was probably the best I have tasted.  They don't give you the traditional lettuce wraps but it comes with a salad and bean paste.  The servers cook the meat on the grills on your table.  We also got soondubujigae soup and nangmyun (cold noodles) which were both pretty good.  The banchan were all really good especially the beansprouts and kimchi.

The restaurant is huge with elegant decorations. There are photo of politicians who have visited in the entrance including Obama and the Clintons.

Overall, I had a great time here and will be back when I am in the area!

We hosted our father's 80th birthday party here and the service day-of and overall event coordination was beyond terrible.  The manager Helen was unresponsive and completely lacked care and ability to manage a party for over 65 people.  Tables were not set up correctly with the 10 seats as she suggested and no wine glasses (she wanted us to use tall water glasses). Most of the 3 hours, there was only 1 server available.. we had to get our own water, pour and serve own champagne and wine after charging $20/ bottle for corkage fee, chasing down ppl for things like a cake knife. I had to go to the kitchen several times to look for the manager who was nowhere to be found. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HOSTING ANY EVENT HERE!
